Chronic Otitis Media
The 3 types of it are:
Benign - Dry tympanic membrane perforation w/o active infection
Chronic Secertory (Glue Ear) - Persistent pain lasting a couple of wks after the acute episode, with reduced mobility of the membrane
Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media - Persistent purulent drainage through the perforated tympanic membrane
The main complication of this is Cholesteatoma.
