Visual Field Defect
Monocular loss occurs with a lesion in front of the optic chiasm i.e. retina, optic nerve.
Bitemporal hemianopia occurs with a pituitary tumour.
Homonymous quadrantanopia occurs with a lesion in the optic radiations.
Superior quadrantanopia - Temporal lobe
Inferior quadrantanopia - Parietal lobe
Homonymous hemianopia occurs with a lesion in the visual cortex.
Macular sparing occurs with a PCA stroke as the occipital pole has collateral blood supply
