Glasgow Coma Score (GCS)

GCS is a score that's used to classify the severity of a traumatic brain injury.

Score Interpretation

• 13-15 - Mild head injury

• 9-12 - Moderate head injury

• < 8 - Severe head injury - Suggests coma with the need for intubation
