Vulval and Vaginal Cancer

The most common type of this is squamous cell carcinoma (90%), but it can also be a malignant melanoma.


The pre-malignant condition of it is Vulval Intraepithelial Neoplasia (VIN).

Risk factors:

  • Older age

  • Immunosuppression

  • HPV Infection

  • Lichen sclerosus


Presentation

  • Irregular mass

  • Fungating lesion

  • Ulceration

  • Bleeding


N.B. Frequently affects Labia Majora.
