Medical causes:

• Constipation

• UTI

• Coeliac disease

• IBD

• IBS

• Mesenteric adenitis

• Henoch-Schonlein Purpura (HSP)

• DKA

• Ectopic pregnancy

• PID

Surgical causes:

• Appendicitis

• Intussusception

• Bowel obstruction

• Testicular torsion

Red flag symptoms:

• Persistent or bilious vomiting

• Severe, chronic diarrhoea

• PR bleeding

• Faltering growth

• Dysphagia
