Diaphragmatic Hernia

In this condition, the diaphragm doesn't fully form, leaving a hole. This hole allows abdominal contents to move up into the thoracic cavity, therefore squashing against the lungs to prevent them developing properly → Pulmonary Hypoplasia.

A Chest XR will show bowel loops in the chest cavity.

It's managed by surgical repair.
